Edward Wort was awarded a research grant from the Malacological Society of London in April. This grant will sponsor part of the genetic work for his PhD.

Jamie Hudson visited the Station Biologique de Roscoff. This visit allowed Jamie to further develop his independent research project.

Marc Rius and Mark Chapman were awarded an ‘Adventure in Research‘ grant in December. This grant will sponsor research conducted in the Ecology and Evolution Lab.

Steve Bourne and Edward Wort started their PhDs (partly funded by SPITFIRE) in October.

Marc Rius was awarded a Visiting Scientists Scheme grant. This grant will attract a visiting scientist to the National Oceanography Centre in June 2015.

Alex Sullivan was awarded a Professor Mike Clark award. This award will sponsor Alex’s independent research project.
